Sometimes a tasty smoothie is all you’re looking for in the morning.  I love the combination of sweet fruit and almond butter in this drink with the added bonus of ground flax seed.

Mother’s Day Morning Glory Protein Smoothie

Total Time: 15 minutes

Yield: 2

  • Mother's Day Morning Glory Protein Smoothie
  • 1 banana
  • 1 Tbsp almond butter
  • 1 Tbsp ground flax meal
  • 1/2 cup Greek light vanilla yogurt (like Dannon Light ‘n Fit Greek)
  • 2 tsp agave nectar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened apple juice
  •  
  1. Put all of the ingredients plus 1/2 cup ice cubes in to a blender.  Blend until smooth.  Pour into glasses and serve.
